Nature Quest

Unlock the wonders of Nature,
in your own backyard.

Nature Quest helps makes it easy to find family friendly activities and outdoor adventures in your area. This app provides information and maps for family friendly local hiking trails, biking areas, and nature themed scavenger hunts. Users enter their family members and children's ages along with their home area and they are recommended activities that match their information by activity type and suggested age. From the activities main page users can save, share, view maps, and finally start the activity and track their progress through the GPS in their phone.

PERSONAS

Compiling the information gathered from the interviews led to the creation of two personas; Alex and Emma. 

User Flows

3 user flows were created along with a rough sitemap for Nature Quest.
Task 1: Create an account and complete a family profile

Users are to open the app and from the splash page, enter their information along with info for their family (names & ages). Users can also add additional accounts that link together.

Task 2: Search for activities in your area and select an activity to start

From the user dashboard, users are to navigate to and perform a search for activities in their area and select one to start.

Task 3: Sign in and select a scavenger hunt to start

Users are to open the app, sign into their account, navigate to the scavenger hunt section, and select a scavenger hunt to start.

I really like how this challenge went and am working to fully design this project into a working prototype . Check back for updates.
